These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Troves browser extension (the "Extension") provided by Troves ("we", "us", or "our"). By installing or using the Extension, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
By installing, accessing, or using the Extension, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must uninstall the Extension and discontinue use.
Troves is a browser extension that organizes and indexes your AI conversations from supported platforms (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok) into a local sidebar. All data is stored locally in your browser's IndexedDB. The Extension provides features including conversation search, folder organization, tagging, and optional encrypted backups.
The Extension offers a free tier with limited features and a paid Pro tier with expanded functionality. Pro subscriptions are managed through Stripe. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your subscription credentials and for all activity under your account.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. Refund requests are handled on a case-by-case basis within 7 days of purchase.
You agree to use the Extension only for its intended purpose of organizing AI conversations. You shall not:
The Extension, including its source code, design, icons, and documentation, is the intellectual property of Troves and is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws. Your subscription grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Extension.
Your conversation data remains your property. We claim no ownership over any content you organize or store using the Extension.
The Extension is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not guarantee that the Extension will be compatible with future updates to supported AI platforms. Platform providers may change their interfaces at any time, which could temporarily or permanently affect the Extension's functionality.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Troves and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from:
Our total liability for any claims arising from or related to these Terms or your use of the Extension shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
You may terminate your use of the Extension at any time by uninstalling it. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Pro features if you violate these Terms, with or without notice. Upon termination, your locally stored data remains on your device until you clear it.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be reflected in new versions of the Extension. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
